Vauxhall Hotels
Vauxhall is an inner city area of South London in the London Borough of Lambeth. Vauxhall Motors built its first car there in 1903. In more recent years, Vauxhall riverside has undergone major redevelopment with the construction of a number of modern residential buildings and office blocks, most notably the distinctive MI6 headquarters at Vauxhall Cross (a rail, bus and tube interchange, from which many parts of London are easily accessible.)
The Oval Circket Ground is situated in Kennington, which, like Vauxhall, is part of Lambeth. The Oval is the home ground of Surrey County Cricket Club, and also traditionally hosts the final Test match of each English summer season in late August or early September. The Oval was the first ground in the United Kingdom and second in the world (after the Melbourne Cricket Ground) to host Test cricket.
